While we continue to absorb as much of the recent cost pressure as possible (fuel, labour, and cross-border tariffs), some adjustments are necessary so we can keep providing fast, hassle-free imports for Canadian shoppers and businesses.
Below you’ll find the full breakdown of what is changing for regular packages and pallet shipments. The numbers are presented exactly as they will appear in your dashboard, so you can plan ahead with confidence.

Key regular package updates -
• Base rates for packages up to 10 lb rise by $1.00 in ON, BC & QC; AB remains flat.
• The extra-pound fee (above 10 lb) increases by $0.05/lb across all provinces.
• The same-day 3+ shipment discount (25%) for Ontario is ending.

Key pallet updates -
• The first pallet rate will increase to $150.
• Additional pallets now cost $75 in every province, bringing BC/QC/AB in line with ON.
• Oversized pallets continue to incur a $50 surcharge.
• Consolidate imports: whenever possible, bundle U.S. orders into fewer, heavier packages to spread the per-package base fee.
• Leverage pallet shipping: for 20+ packages, pallets are still the most cost-effective option.
These rates will take effect on May 1, 2025. They’ll appear automatically in the Shippsy dashboard—no action needed on your side.
